About

Banknoise.com is a weblog that deals with economics and finance (and sometimes a few other topics…). As a weblog, it do not claims to be a “news site”, but it express the authors’ opinions and aims to stimulate readers’ considerations on some topics that we think are relevant.

Please be aware that BankNoise was born in 2007 as an Italian finance blog, and we introduced the new English section in September 2009, after we’ve seen that there is some interest in what we’re writing also from readers outside Italy. By now only a small part of the whole archive (which counts, at September 2009, more than 850 posts) has been translated in English, and not every new post will be translated, but only what we think may be relevant for “global readers”. There also may be slight differences between the Italian and the English version of a post (in some case, we may think it’s better to summarize some parts instead of giving a full translation). Please check the Italian area to access the full archive (untranslated, of course…).

Although we always try to report data, informations and facts as precisely and accurately possible, please be aware that there can always be some errors or innacuracies. Even if we obviously try to avoid them, there might also be translation errors that could change the meaning of a post.

If you find some error or inaccuracy, please e-mail us ( banche.blog [dot] gmail.com ), so we will try to correct them if possible: our “policy” is anyway not to change posts after they are been online for some time (we feel that it would be like “cheating” our readers). In case an alteration to a post has been made, it will be made clear that the post has been edited.

BankNoise does not provide financial advice, and its authors shall not be considered financial professionals: any use of what you may read in this blog is at your own risk. By the way, we think your investment philosophy shouldn’t rely on what you read on a blog, or even on the media.
